The purpose...

This blog is a place to reflect, react, and record all things children's lit! I teach a children's literature course and would like to share my thoughts with my students and encourage the development of an online community of learners. I'll chronicle some of the activities in our class and hopefully my students will respond and continue our discussions.

  1. After discussing literature circles in class it made me excited because it made reading fun. I remembered having to read a book and then give a boring book report or having to write a paper over it and with literature circles it makes it exciting. With literature circles it lets the student actually be able to read and enjoy the book compared to dreading the boring assignment after.
